Associate Parliamentary Group for Design and Innovation
The Associate Parliamentary Group for Design and Innovation (APGDI) aims to encourage and facilitate dialogue between parliamentarians and organisations throughout the design sector, highlighting the importance of design to the economy.
In 2008 the APGDI helped published an independent piece of research backed by a special award from the Royal Commission of the Exhibition of 1851, Designing Sustainable Policy: How the UK design industry, Government and Parliament can work together.
The report explored the communications gap between Parliamentarians and the design sector - Designing Sustainable Policy - which was supported by a special award from the Royal Commission of the Exhibition of 1851. A copy of the report is available to download from www.policyconnect.org.uk/design, along with articles, events and news on the group’s activities.
The APGDI is managed by Policy Connect, a not for profit organization bridging Parliament and industry to promote effective and sustainable policy making across five key areas; Skills, Environment, Health, Design & Sustainability.
