City of Sound
The personal site of Dan Hill, who is currently based in Sydney, City of Sound has a growing cult following.
Consisting of interesting links to articles – primarily about cities, architecture, design, media, culture and the collisions between them – it is the articulate, elegantly written essays and observations of an independent thinker that keep people coming back for more.
Previous jobs include head of interactive technology and design at the BBC, and curator at the Urbis museum in Manchester. Hill is currently director of web and broadcast at Monocle magazine.
